We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Java Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in reimagining and re-platforming a legacy application suite into a modern, cloud-based SaaS solution using advanced technologies on AWS. Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of our new SaaS-based healthcare applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good coding practices and habits
- Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team
- Facilitate the agile development process through daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo, and retrospective meetings
- Design and develop robust solutions that meet the specified user requirements
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Mentor and support junior developers in the team
Requirements
- Proficiency in Java, JUnit, and AWS technologies with at least 5 years of relevant experience
- 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
- Background in building scalable, high-performing and robust Java applications
- Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile environments
- Understanding of object-oriented programming and software architecture design
- Capability to troubleshoot and debug application issues
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
Nice to have
- Familiarity with JAX and Oracle Cloud
- Experience in healthcare information systems and electronic medical records
- Understanding of cloud-native application development
- Proficiency in additional programming languages and frameworks
