Responsibilities
- Administrate Oracle Database
- Configure Oracle Exadata database service & Oracle Autonomous Database service 19 and above
- Work with OCI/Azure services
- Design solutions for HA and DR scenarios
- Manage role-based access policies on the database
- Participate in DR drills to test partial and complete recovery using export and import
- Manage database hardening procedures
- Conduct database migration activities using Golden Gate or other scenarios
- Set up database services monitoring and alerting policies
Requirements
- Proficiency in Oracle Database Administration (installation and configuration of Oracle Exadata database service & Oracle Autonomous Database service 19 and above)
- Good knowledge of concepts like Virtual Private Databases, Database Editions and developer tools like Toad
- Working production experience as Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle Datasafe, Oracle RAC & Dataguard
- Skills in point-in-time recovery
- Good understanding of database security and hardening procedures
- Expertise in Azure Cloud Infrastructure & Services – Kubernetes, Azure AD
- Qualifications in database migration activities using Golden Gate or other scenarios
- Familiarity with the concept of Canary release management using PDBs and CDBs
- Outstanding capability to set up database services monitoring and alerting policies
- Excellent knowledge of Performance Tuning concepts (SQL TRACE, EXPLAIN PLAN)
- Track record in analyzing SQL statements, reorganizing DB objects, maintaining indexes to enhance performance and partitioning tables appropriately
- Knowledge of environment cloning to clone prod environments into lower environments
- Ability to use Agile methods (Scrum / Kanban)
- English level – B2 and higher, both verbal and written
