We're seeking a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to strengthen our remote team. This pivotal role involves enhancing and safeguarding the security of our Azure cloud environments.

In this role, you'll work closely with our development and infrastructure teams to integrate cloud security best practices throughout our Azure infrastructure. Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing Azure cloud security solutions using an infrastructure-as-code approach
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams like development and infrastructure to uphold security best practices across the Azure infrastructure
  • Creating and maintaining secure, compliant cloud environments
  • Setting up monitoring and alerting tools in cloud environments for detecting security incidents and vulnerabilities
  • Implementing access management and security controls in cloud environments to ensure compliance with security standards
  • Ensuring cloud environments and applications adhere to security and compliance standards
  • Providing guidance and support to other teams on cloud security best practices
  • Keeping abreast of emerging cloud security trends and technologies
  • Conducting regular security assessments and audits on the cloud infrastructure
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of cloud security processes and procedures

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in cloud security engineering or related roles
  • Skill in Azure cloud security, with at least 6 months of hands-on experience in an infrastructure-as-code approach
  • Knowledge in implementing security controls for cloud environments, including monitoring, alerting, and access management
  • Proficiency in using Git for version control and continuous integration tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
  • Comprehensive understanding of container orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Openshift
  • Experience in setting up monitoring and alerting tools in cloud environments
  • In-depth knowledge of web infrastructure fundamentals, including DNS, Load Balancing, SSL, TCP/IP, networking, security best practices, performance, high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases like Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, or HyperScale
