Responsibilities
- Design and implement network architecture for both on-premises and cloud environments
- Configure, operate, and automate IaaS networks including AWS and Azure
- Monitor, log, and troubleshoot network issues to ensure optimal performance and connectivity
- Manage network security measures to protect data and systems
- Lead and mentor junior network engineers
- Collaborate with various teams to ensure network alignment with business objectives
- Drive technical design and end-to-end implementation of network projects
- Use tools such as Splunk and Datadog for network monitoring and analysis
- Communicate network status and changes to internal stakeholders
- Maintain documentation on network configurations and procedures
- Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for enhancements
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Participate in on-call rotation for network support
- Conduct root cause analysis on network incidents and provide solutions
- Implement network policies and processes to optimize organizational efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience as a Network Engineer
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNP, CCIE, AWS Professional, AWS Network Specialty)
- Experience in at least 2 multi-quarter projects
- Contributed to the engineering community (e.g., blog posts, open source contributions, tech talks)
- Expertise in configuring and operating cloud IaaS networks (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Skills in routing protocols (OSPF, MPBGP, ISIS, MPLS)
- Knowledge of network models (SNMP, NetFlow, IPFIX, Netconf, Restconf, gRPC)
- Strong experience in network monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in network security protocols and best practices
- Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level
Nice to have
- Experience with network monitoring tools such as Splunk and Datadog
- Active participation in tech talks or similar community contributions
- Advanced certifications in networking or cloud technologies
