Senior SAP Basis Consultant Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SAP Basis Consultant to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and supporting SAP system landscapes to ensure reliable and efficient operation. You will work closely with functional and business teams to support SAP solution business requirements and contribute to the development of new talents within the SAP Basis team.
Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and support SAP System landscapes
- Provide operational and project support focusing on technical architecture
- Collaborate with functional and business teams to support SAP solution business requirements
- Manage systems performance improvement and estimate AWS costs
- Organize knowledge-sharing sessions
- Address Basis escalations and provide technical support to the Basis team
- Manage Linux and AWS administration including OS updates and network security
- Handle disaster recovery and ensure high-availability of systems
- Manage database operations including backup, restore, tuning, and updates for SAP HANA & ASE
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP Basis support with a strong technical understanding of SAP products
- Hands-on experience with SAP technical architecture
- Strong working experience with SAP S4HANA and AWS
- Excellent understanding of IT processes and their mapping to SAP
- Proficient in troubleshooting OS and application performance issues
- Experienced in S4HANA/S4HANA Platform upgrade & implementation
- Skilled in performance and error troubleshooting for ABAP and Java
- Experience with Java based solutions like ADS, SLS
- Knowledge in NW As JAVA update and Single Sign On technologies
- Proven ability in job management and SAP NW AS Java
- Strong experience in database management, backup, and restore for SAP HANA & ASE
- Expertise in HANA HSR, index and partitioning management, and database parameter tuning
- Ability to address performance troubleshooting and database updates
- Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level
Nice to have
- Knowledge in GRC, BW4HANA, and OpenText
- Familiarity with Data Volume Management (DVM)
- Experience with SAP Solution Manager (ChaRM, System monitoring, EWA)
- Knowledge of Third-party backup tools (Commvault)
- Exposure to BTP administration
- Experience or knowledge of SLT, Cloud connector, SDI/SDA, SAP Datasphere, and SAP Analytics cloud
