Senior Business Analyst in Data Description
We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst in Data to join our remote team for an exciting internal project that focuses on developing data products to address business needs.
In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into data requirements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end data and analytics solutions.
You will be responsible for eliciting requirements, conducting data discovery and profiling, and prototyping business needs. You will also prepare post-development and post-production materials to support stakeholders in increasing the adoption of deliverables.

Responsibilities
- Plan and execute elicitation/discovery activities to engage both business and IT stakeholders
- Design and drive stakeholder workshops/interviews to define and prioritize their business needs
- Translate business needs into requirements and work with delivery team through the entire project lifecycle (overseeing developments and acting as a Product Owner / Business Analyst )
- Perform data discovery, data assessment, data profiling
- Prototype business needs and validate prototypes with business stakeholder before sending to mass production using mockuping / prototyping / tools
- Conduct Sprint review sessions or UAT with customer stakeholders
- Work in collaboration with customer stakeholders / delivery management / technical leads in design phase of the data products that should address the business needs
- Prepare post-development / post-production materials to support stakeholders in increasing adoption of deliverables (e.g., trainings / training materials / marketing materials)
Requirements
- 3+ years of xperience in working in data domain on data and analytical projects
- Experience in working with requirements on BI / Data / Analytical projects (gathering, presenting, estimating, prioritizing, etc.)
- Good ability translate business needs into data requirements (incl. proficiency in validating and visualizing data requirements to customer)
- Experience in end-to-end data and analytics project delivery as part of the team (for example / reporting / BI, advanced analytics solutions) utilizing Agile and waterfall app
- Ability to use modern tools for visualizing and prototyping business needs
- Good hands-on experience with SQL
- Strong elicitation experience
- Visualization tools experience such as Tableau, Power BI and so on
- Experience in working with data profiling, data discover tools, using industry best practices
- Ability to take ownership for the end-result, and to help developers to get there
- Good understanding of Proof of Concept / Minimum Viable Product / Minimum Loveable Product terms
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to manage customer expectations, present and explain project deliverables to senior stakeholders onsite and offsite . Ability to work individually or in team environment without supervision
- Experience in working with business and IT stakeholders, as well as end-users
- Knowledge of the data and analytics landscape and recent trends
Nice to have
- Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Understanding on basic DWH principles
- Good Python/Java/Scala experience
- Basic CI/CD Principles
