Senior Payroll Accountant Description

We are seeking a Senior Payroll Accountant to join our Global Shared Service Payroll Accounting team.

In this position, you will spearhead the management and strategic oversight of payroll functions across EPAM’s subsidiaries. This includes ensuring seamless collaboration with HR and external partners while meticulously upholding compliance with SOX and US GAAP regulations.

This position offers remote setup with the flexibility to work from any location in Georgia, whether it's your home, a well-equipped office in Tbilisi or coworking spaces in Batumi and Kutaisi.

Responsibilities

  • Handle payroll for certain EPAM subsidiaries, including information preparation, communication with HR team and external agencies, re-check of calculated payrolls, and preparation of SOX control files
  • Respective US GAAP bookkeeping of payroll-related activities
  • Analyze and reconcile payroll across all internal systems
  • Investigate complicated payroll cases
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments
  • Respond to audit requests and participate in regular meetings with external and internal auditors
  • Address local audits focusing on the payroll-related aspects
  • Engage in regular improvement process activities with other teams, actively analyze areas of improvement, and test new enhancements
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports upon request

Requirements

  • High economic education (Finance/Accounting)
  • Minimum 3-5 years of working experience as Senior Payroll Accountant (or higher)/ Senior Payroll Specialist/ Auditor (incl. payroll)
  • Excellent MS office skills, especially Excel
  • Working experience with ERP systems (SAP is advantage)
  • High personal responsibility, attentiveness to details, ability to control and process information that comes from many different sources
  • English language level – B1 and higher
