As a Data Solution Architect, you will design a storage system for information. This position often involves working with other programmers and developers as you solve digital accessibility issues and work to protect proprietary information. Creating a platform that encourages efficiency and information security is a primary goal.
The role will focus on supporting our customers to obtain value from their data to assist them in making proper business decisions.
What You’ll Do
- Work closely with the business in identifying solution requirements and key case studies/scenarios to architect data solutions for business transformation
- Design data analytics solutions by utilizing the data technology stack with Big Data techniques
- Conduct solution architecture review/audit and calculate
- Create and present solution architecture documents with deep technical details to customer and implementation teams
- Participate in the full cycle of "pre-sale" activities to prepare technical proposals on customer requests: direct communications with customers, RFP processing, the development of recommendations for implementation and design of the solution, presentation for proposed solution architecture to the customer and participation in technical meetings with customer representatives
- Constantly grow expertise by gathering and monitoring available EPAM project experience and ongoing projects with clients from different business domains to drive further EPAM business in the data field
What You Have
- 8+ years experience in building data models and reporting solutions
- Solid experience (3+ years) in a wide range of Azure data services/offerings (especially Azure SQL DB, Databricks and/or Synapse, ADF)
- Solid understanding of Lakehouse architecture
- Ability to design and implement complex big data solutions
- Strong Python programming skills
- Good knowledge of Apache Kafka
Nice to have
- Good data visualization skills, Power BI or similar
- Job orchestration with Apache Airflow or similar
- Experience with Apache Flink
