For our Client, one of the largest investment banks in the world, we're looking for a Senior Java Developer with DevOps. The position includes a hybrid mode of work, with 1 day a week of performing tasks from the Kraków office.
Join a dedicated team responsible for the upkeep and enhancement of a vital platform that ensures high availability and swift processing of diverse investment product orders — ranging from stocks, derivatives, and bonds to forex, precious metals, structured products, and more —across various exchanges. As the platform evolves, it continues to accommodate a broader range of asset types, extends to more trading markets, and is launched in additional countries.
You'll be a part of the Platform Engineering Services team situated within Client Orders. This team falls under Wealth Management Personal Banking & Corporates (WMPC). This division takes pride in owning and managing the bank's pivotal trading platforms and infrastructure, which serve Fixed Income, Funds, Global Equity Markets, Structured Products, Fiduciary, and ETD Options and Futures.

You'll be a part of the Platform Engineering Services team situated within Client Orders. This team falls under Wealth Management Personal Banking & Corporates (WMPC). What You’ll Do
- Develop and sustain the department’s advanced platform infrastructure and environment
- Integrate, tailor, and advance cutting-edge application estate management technologies
- Design and implement optimal tools for real-time platform monitoring, alerts, and trend analysis
- Recognize, adapt, and align our software applications in line with the bank's cloud strategy
- Engage seamlessly with both the application development and operations teams to continuously optimize the existing processes and tooling used
- Collaborate with specialists throughout the organization to ensure knowledge is both utilized and preserved
What You Have
- Proficiency in working with containers and orchestration technologies, especially Docker. Knowledge of Kubernetes & Nomad is a bonus
- Mastery in Java
- Direct experience with setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines, familiar with tools such as GitLab, Nomad, and Ansible
- Scripting expertise, particularly with BASH. Familiarity with Python or Groovy is a plus
- Practical experience in setting up and managing application performance monitoring tools like Spring Boot Actuator, Micrometer, Consul, Prometheus, and Grafana
- Familiarity with building Java projects using Gradle
- Skill in Linux and console (e.g. RHEL)
- A comprehensive understanding of executing successful projects in the financial services sector, collaborating with dispersed teams across various locations
- Exceptional written and spoken English, adept at communicating with colleagues across all levels globally
- Focus on networking and utilizing the connections
- Multitasking strength, able to manage several projects concurrently, tapping into experts when necessary and interacting with tech vendors
- A meticulous nature, ensuring details aren't missed while keeping an eye on the overarching objectives
- Proficiency in task and project management until fruition
