For our Client - a leading investment bank specializing in the distribution, trade, financing, and clearing of equity and related products, we are looking for Senior Java Developer with ION tools experience. The Client is also involved in structuring, initiating and distributing new shares.
In this role, you will be a part of an Agile Team, developing a greenfield distributed project. The position involves a hybrid model of work, with three days a week of required office presence.

What You’ll Do
- Provide solutions to key business challenges by developing Java applications or using the ION toolset
- Refactor and enhance existing components and solutions
- Manage UAT and demonstration sessions with key stakeholders
- Gather essential details from business stakeholders, converting them into concise IT requirements
- Collaborate with other global IT teams
- Support the production operations team in the rollout and ongoing production assistance
What You Have
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in Java
- Proficiency in ION (ION Trading/ION MarketView Platform experience)
- Familiarity with low-latency, multi-threaded code
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns - exposure to functional programming is a plus
- Experience working in an Agile environment
Nice to have
- Knowledge of bond pricing, preferably with PXE
- Solid understanding of Rates, Credit bonds and derivatives
- In-depth knowledge of trading venues, such as Bloomberg, TradeWeb
- Experience in automated testing and continuous integration
- Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Python and Perl
- Familiarity with Kafka
