We are seeking a new member to our Cloud Architecture Team to work on the project for one of the leading international banks.

What You’ll Do
- Support evolution of the Bank’s Google Cloud capability
- Promote and evangelise the Bank's cloud strategy, patterns and technologies
- Create repeatable architecture solutions, patterns and blueprints that will underpin workloads hosted on Google Cloud
- Create decision trees to facilitate technology product selection
- Support architecture governance, reviews and tollgates for the deployment of applications to Google Cloud
- Produce high quality, consumable documentation in support of the above
- Provide thought leadership, knowledge and guidance
- Contribute continuous improvements to the Cloud Architecture function
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including senior strategists, decision makers, product owners, and engineers
What You Have
- Broad and deep knowledge of Google Cloud services and products, including:
- Resource management
- IAM
- Networking and network services
- Compute services, including GCE, GKE and Cloud Run
- Knowledge of databases and persistence services, such as Cloud SQL and BigQuery
- Data ingestion, transformation and orchestration services, such as Pub/Sub, Dataproc, Dataflow and Cloud Composer
- Experience with monitoring, logging and alerting with Google Cloud Operations
- Knowledge of the value and deployment of Google Cloud Landing zones
- Knowledge and understanding of best practice cloud architecture patterns, considering reliability, availability, security, operability, agility, and re-use
- Familiarity with Google Cloud FinOps best practices
- Familiarity with SRE best practices, and execution on Google Cloud
- Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD best practices and tooling in Google Cloud, including Cloud Build and Terraform
- Self-starting approach: you are able to initiate and progress activities, based on a list of prioritised objectives
- Ability to communicate effectively with – and influence - various categories of stakeholder
- Ability to form strategic relationships
- Ability to produce high quality written material
- Familiarity with agile practices, e.g. Kanban, sprints, Jira
