Your deep knowledge of PostgreSQL will be instrumental in handling installation, administration, performance tuning, and configuration tasks at both the database and application levels. Responsibilities
- Perform installation, administration, performance tuning, and configuration tasks for PostgreSQL at both the database and application levels
- Manage communication between our internal load balancer and PostgreSQL, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PostgreSQL and Salesforce applications
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with PostgreSQL, demonstrating expertise in installation, administration, performance tuning, and configuration
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or Azure, leveraging these platforms for efficient database management
- Good understanding of monitoring tools to effectively monitor and analyze PostgreSQL performance
- Proficiency in Docker for containerization and deployment of PostgreSQL environments
- Experience with Istio (Service Mesh) for communication between different services, ensuring secure and reliable interactions
- Expertise with PG Pool for efficient database connection pooling
- Understanding of Bitnami charts for streamlined deployment and management of PostgreSQL
