Responsibilities
- Design and implement production-ready data solutions using modern cloud data technologies/components, as well as classic data technologies and tools
- Work with product and engineering teams to understand requirements, evaluate new features and architectures to help drive decisions
- Maintain collaborative partnerships with architects and key individuals within other functional groups
- Perform a detailed analysis of business problems and technical environments and use this information to design high-quality technical solutions
- Actively participate in code review and testing of solutions to ensure they meet best practice specifications
- Support a high-performance engineering culture
- Write project documentation
Requirements
- Relevant development experience and practice with BI platforms, data integration, data storage, data modeling, and database design technologies
- Hands-on production experience in developing Data Analytics Solutions on at least one public cloud platform
- Good knowledge of databases (SQL query optimization, relations, stored procedures, transactions, isolation levels, etc.)
- Expected experience working with at least one Relational Database (MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
- Strong knowledge and experience with data modeling (facts and dimensions)
- Understanding of the storage layer, data formats, and streaming/batch integration
- Understanding of Data Platform concepts (Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Delta Lake/Lakehouse)
- Basic understanding of Data Governance aspects (Data Ownership, Data Privacy, Data Lineage, etc.)
- Good understanding of Data Security (object/system level grants, etc.)
- Proven skills in data solutions troubleshooting, monitoring, support, and bottleneck problem analysis
- Experience in testing (Component/Integration Testing) and assessing the performance of an existing solution
- Understanding of CI/CD principles and best practices, following release processes on a project
- Motivated, independent, efficient, and able to work under pressure while setting priorities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced (startup-like) agile development environment
- Analytical approach to problem-solving, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in direct customer communications is a plus
- Proficiency in English
