DESCRIPTION
Currently we are looking for Cloud Platform and Systems Architect to work with highly skilled and engaged teams across the globe.
We support Employment Contract or B2B, depending on your preference.
Responsibilities
- Hands on cloud and systems architecture to focus on infrastructure and product engineering for a large AWS-based platform
- Work within architecture group (client side) establishing patterns and building technical solutions for engineering capabilities, governance and security
- Solicit architecture requirements to new or changed engineering capabilities, establish recommended architecture and feed planning cycle with high-level work items
- Participate in backlog planning with DM and Technical Leader - DevOps work items and platform enhancements
- Manage architecture artefacts repository - documentation, diagrams, etc
Requirements
- Hands-on system architecture
- Fluent in core engineering concepts and principles: DevOps, CI/CD, IaC, observability and monitoring, containerisation
- Practical experience in AWS services
- Practical experience in core Internet standards: DNS, SSL/TLS, HTTP
- Practical knowledge in Python programming and development practices - testing, deployment automation
Nice to have
- Typescript/Javascript experience
Technologies
- AWS services: ECS/Fargate, Lambda, Route53, Cloudfront, DynamoDB, RDS and Aurora (PostgreSQL), SES, SQS, SNS
- Languages: Python (primary for product engineering), TypeScript/JavaScript (for online solutions)
- CI/CD: AWS CodeBuild/CodeDeploy/CodePipeline (Github Action as the potential future state)
- Infrastructure as Code: CloudFormation
- Secure Controls: WAF, GuardDuty, Macie
- Tracking and Planning: Rally
- 3rd party solutions: NewRelic, Slack
