For our Client from the financial services industry, we are looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer, who will be responsible for providing technical support using Google Cloud Platform (GCP). In this position, you will work closely with the development team to ensure that the infrastructure is reliable and scalable.
The remote option applies to the Candidates based in Poland.
What You’ll Do
- Stabilize the system and optimize its performance to accommodate growth
- Manage changes in GCP Cloud Infrastructure by employing Infrastructure-as-Code
- Configure observability tools for effective logging and monitoring
- Design and implement solutions within Platform Engineering (PaaS)
- Resolve system issues and apply necessary patches
- Implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) as-Code practices
- Collaborate actively with customer teams
- Manage project backlogs effectively
What You Have
- Over 3 years in DevOps roles with expertise in GCP
- Expertise in managing cloud infrastructure on GCP using tools like CDK and Terraform
- Proficiency in container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (K8s)
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins (using Groovy SDK, Jenkins file), Gitlab-CI, and Github Actions
- Skills in configuration management using Ansible and Terraform
- Familiarity with observability tools including DataDog, Dynatrace, Prometheus, ELK, and more
- Solid grasp of software development principles coupled with hands-on development experience
- Strong communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with stakeholders across various levels
- Insightful business sense to comprehend the ramifications of tech choices on business results
- Proficiency in the English language, minimum B2+ level
