Solution Architect (Test Automation) Description
EPAM is looking for an expert in Test Automation with a strong knowledge of architectural theory, software development platform(s) and business domain knowledge, who is capable to clarify solution architecture to address business goals, key functional and non-functional requirements, suggest related test strategy with a strong focus on CI/CD, test infrastructure and test automation solution(s), able to create and extend solution accelerators, do different architectural activities with creation of corresponding artifacts, do technology consulting activities.
Responsibilities
- Build a comprehensive testing strategy to reduce time to validate Customer’s products from months to days
- Define the measures of success, which we need for test cases for existing and new requests (both custom developed applications and SAAS)
- Create solution architecture document on good level with deep technical details
- Make a decision how we will automate web services testing considering wide-specter of available tools, knows constrains, consider how much time we have, what's the number of services we need coverage, sell the proposal to customer considering advantages and disadvantages, play consultant role
- Develop PoC from scratch to take several tools, create architectural document, describe components, show which layers we have, how they are interacting with them
- Lead implementation of the solution from establishing project requirements and goals to solution "go-live"
- Oversee the development efforts and provide technical help as needed
- icipate in the full cycle of pre-sales activities: direct communications with potential customers, RFP processing, development of proposals for implementation and design of the solution, presentation of the proposed solution to a customer, participation in meetings with customer representatives
Requirements
- At least 2 years in architectural roles
- 7+ years’ experience in hands-on automation testing
- Strong experience in Python, Pytest, Robot framework, integration with SDLC
- 3+ years’ experience in team leadership in Testing Automation
- Strong expertise in:
- Architectural styles
- Integration patterns
- Development patterns
- Architecture artifacts and deliverables
- Solution architecture design approaches and practices
