Senior Test Automation Engineer with Java Zurich, Switzerland

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain automated QA testing framework (follow trends, technologies and best practices. Participate in technical decisions about automation architecture)
• Test analysis, test case design and test execution; expand the coverage of new and existing functionalities. (Manual test & Automated test area)
• Keep the eye on possible innovations
• Help define and contribute to CI/CD pipelines
• Proactively share knowledge and expertise with client stakeholders
• Review test automation code written by other team members (and supervise coding standards)
• Mentor junior team members regarding test automation approaches and best practices

Requirements

• Professional work experience in a Software Automated QA Engineer role
• Experience with Selenium-WebDriver based tools
• Practical experience writing automation scripts for Web applications and Web services (REST based)
• Working experience with Java, Maven, Cucumber and Git
• Ability to write basic SQL and understand more complex ones
• Hands-on experience delivering automation with a focus on Continuous Integration/Continuous Development. (Jenkins, TFS, ...)
• Exposure to Azure is nice to have
• Efficient usage of Design Patterns and OOP
• Good understanding and practice of creating Clean and excellent quality program code
• Experience, interest, and adaptability to working in Agile SDLC
• Ability to train and mentor junior engineers
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated, independent, and proactive with good problem-solving skills
