The Big Data training program is for Senior Engineers who would like to take their careers to the next level. This is a unique opportunity to gain or improve Big Data skills in a dedicated training program under the guidance of experienced mentors.


EPAM Big Data training is our in-house training program that allows you to learn the Apache Big Data ecosystem platform and tools with help from our senior experts from the EPAM Big Data Competency Center. The program will give you unique knowledge and put you on the path to becoming a professional Big Data Engineer.


We offer a full-time two-month training program and a position on one of our Big Data healthcare projects

Participants will be hired at EPAM as Senior Software Engineers on full-time employment contract


  • Hands-on experience with one of the following OOP languages: Java, Scala
  • Experience in SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Solid knowledge and experience in essential engineering areas: software development, testing and Agile concepts and practices 
  • Experience with Linux OS: ability to use command line shell, configure services, and write basic shell scripts.
  • English level – B2 (spoken and written)

After the training, attendees will have advanced knowledge and practical experience in:

  • Hadoop, HDFS MapReduce and Yarn
  • Hive, including Hive optimization and schema design
  • Spark Core, Spark SQL, Spark Streaming
  • Kafka
  • Elastic search basics

Relocation Program

Typical Big Data Projects: 

  • Building out a Data Management & Analytics platform to help the Customer simplify data analytics. Along with Predictive Modelling, the applicable information mined from the raw data supports improvements in the quality and cost of care.
  • Restructuring and reengineering the existing approach with relational databases into a solution with a Big Data approach; related to the integration of a health insurer with a pharmacy benefit manager to improve care for patients and lower health-care costs.
  • Integration of medical, pharmacy and cost domains to the Provider Directory Search Replicating existing predictive models to these three domains
