Senior Java Developer Description
We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to join our collaborative cross-functional scrum team within a designated business capability POD.
This role focuses on developing backend solutions using proficiency in Java and Spring Framework to advance business operations.

Responsibilities
- Enhance and maintain the Java codebase
- Design scalable back-end microservices and REST APIs
- Ensure reliability of software through robust unit testing
- Conduct detailed code reviews to uphold quality standards
- Promote best practices, including continuous integration and testing
- Engage actively in SCRUM ceremonies to ensure team synergy
- Participate in planning and estimation sessions to align project goals
- Offer guidance and mentorship to other developers
Requirements
- At least 3 years of development experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
- Proficiency in Java and Spring Framework
- Competency in building APIs and understanding microservices architecture
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Spring Boot, and ReactJS
- Familiarity with Java Messaging and cloud platforms
- Background in financial services or wealth management adds value but is not essential
- Upper-intermediate English proficiency (B2+)
Nice to have
- Qualifications in financial services industry standards
- Understanding of Apache Kafka and Microsoft Azure
