Job #: 92206The position includes a hybrid mode of work, with 2-3 days a week of performing tasks from the office (in Kraków, Wrocław or Gdańsk).
SEE YOURSELF IN THIS ROLE
In this position, you will own and support the needs of one of our client’s server infrastructure systems. You will work directly with other server and service owners to ensure the reliability and sustainability of the service infrastructure and maintain compliance with internal policies.
To excel in this position, you must effectively support servers within a diverse operating system landscape and seamlessly liaise with our in-house tech providers and various operational teams.
Your expertise will be pivotal for our client's team, influencing design decisions and playing a crucial role in ensuring the business's efficiency and productivity.
What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation, and evolve systems by driving changes that improve reliability and velocity
- Engage in and enhance the entire service lifecycle, spanning from its initiation and blueprint to deployment, management, and optimization
- Oversee services by assessing and tracking metrics like availability, response time, and the holistic health of the system
- Manage Cloud-Based Computing Infrastructure, focusing on resource allocation and orchestration
- Handle Linux systems encompassing setup, problem-solving, and automated processes
- Responsibilities as a Lead:
- Being a single point of contact for the client
- Daily communication with the client team located on the West Coast of the USA
- Daily Scrum activities
- Backlog triaging and task assignment
What You Have
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a relevant discipline, or comparable hands-on experience
- 2 years of hands-on involvement with Cloud Infrastructure, including proficiency in containerization, Docker, and Kubernetes
- 4 years of expertise in deploying, diagnosing, and aiding Unix/Linux operating systems
- Experience in crafting and adjusting scripts to enhance monitoring and automation, utilizing languages like Python, Shell, and similar
Nice to have
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (preference for GCP)
- Proficiency in Linux administration (RH and Debian favored, though other versions are suitable)
- Knowledge of automation tools like Terraform/Ansible
- Proficiency in scripting languages, notably Python or Go
- Team Lead experience complemented by effective communication skills
- Readiness to work during evening hours to liaise with onshore client employees in the West Coast and Central time zones
