We are looking for a motivated Manager, Data Analytics Consulting in Malaysia to make the team stronger.
What You’ll Do
- Engage with customer business stakeholders to discover Data & Analytics opportunities and pain points:
- Act as Data Technology Consultant, working with the delivery team in various sized complex program
- Support or drive technology consulting, architecture engagements and transformation through execution phases and work closely with internal, client and third-party vendor mixed teams
- Produce consulting deliverables
- Work with global data practice team to assist clients with their overall Data Analytics strategy and delivery program
- Work with team members and customers to identify use cases, create solutions and roadmap as part of the discovery phase
- Map customer vision & requirements to specific products and components
- Assist clients and team members to enhance their ability to deliver on the agreed data strategy
- Ensure the strategy is actionable and well documented for a clean handover to implementation
- Work within a project team and deliver a proof of concept or MVP to drive the point home and ensure a long-lasting and fruitful customer relationship:
- Ensure projects are delivered within the agreed schedule and budget while ensuring quality
- Deliver clear and consistent communications within projects and across stakeholders of all levels
- Lead meetings, design activities, review sessions and retrospectives
- Manage expectations on a daily basis to keep everyone aligned
- Work closely with project/program management to ensure successful delivery through an integrated delivery model
- Focus on data governance delivery:
- Lead / deliver the data governance framework development and technology assessment consulting project
- Relationship Management:
- Establish and cultivate strong relationships with client stakeholders as well as external and internal partners to maximize growth within an account/client portfolio
- Develop effective relationships with key internal executives, BU heads, Account Managers, Solution SME’s, Sales and Delivery Leaders
- Understand the intersection between technology, customers, and business
- Deliver clear and consistent communications within projects with relevant stakeholders
- Drive Growth:
- Support sales / pre-sales activities by assessing Data opportunities, responding to RFP’s, creating proposals and presentations, establishing relationships with clients and prospective clients, and helping to close / sign new deals
- Help clients get more out of their existing Data and Analytics projects, identifying the solutions and services based on client needs, constraints and strategies
- Practice Development:
- Help drive Data Analytics initiatives whilst producing relevant deliverables
What You Have
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferably with experience in the consulting area
- Extensive experience in Big 4 or MNC Consulting firm or industry related role is preferred but not mandatory
- Mandatory to have Data experience in insurance domain
- Experience in data governance, data security, and/or data privacy
- Experience in data governance related technologies/platforms (Colibra, Infomatica, Tamr, Azure Purview, AWS Glue, GCP Metadata catalog, IAM..etc)
- Experience in access control (RBAC, ABAC)
- Strong experience as a Data Technical Consultant and/or Data Solution Architect
- Strong hands-on technology experience in the areas of Data Analytics
- Confident in expressing points-of-view, making recommendations and presenting analysis and recommendations where appropriate
- Ability to clearly articulate the pros and cons of technology choices and solution design decisions and to construct and present rational options to clients
- Primary career focus on some or all areas of Data & Analytics with experience in data governance, data security, and/or data privacy
- Familiar with different compliance and standards (GDPR, SOX, HIPAA and ..etc)
- Good Cloud experience/knowledge in at least one of the Cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- A keen interest in and passion for the Data & Analytics space
- Awareness of Cloud, Data, Analytics, and Data Science technologies and trends
- Desire to learn & expand your comfort zone whenever a new technological trend in Data & Analytics arises. Maintain a strong understanding of relevant technical solutions and architecture design trends and best practices
- Experience of working with distributed delivery teams
- Strong problem solver and creative thinker with gravitas
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage client engagements under high stress to successful completion
- Sound business acumen; strategic skills; common sense
- Effectively manages up and down
- Mandarin speaking is preferred to communicate with stakeholders
