We are looking for a senior software engineer in Data Analytics and Visualization. Being a part of the China Delivery team, you will be working on Data Analytics Engineering in China where we provide data solutions for our clients in multiple industries. As a Data Analytics and Visualization professional, you’ll fulfil a key Developer role to rationalize Agile Methodology in the development team, partnering with multiple functional roles/teams to ensure delivery.
DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a senior software engineer in Data Analytics and Visualization. Being a part of the China Delivery team, you will be working on Data Analytics Engineering in China where we provide data solutions for our clients in multiple industries. As a Data Analytics and Visualization professional, you’ll fulfil a key Developer role to rationalize Agile Methodology in the development team, partnering with multiple functional roles/teams to ensure delivery.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement production-ready or cloud-based Data Analytics/Visualization solutions using classic data technologies and tools, i.e., BI platforms, Databases, ETL/ELT technology & tools, etc
- Conduct code reviews, assess the performance of a data solution, ensure the quality of data solutions following engineering excellence practices
- Drive and contribute to Data Analytics engineering activities, including requirement clarification, features and architecture evaluation technical decision-making, and presenting solution proposals to customers/clients, etc
- Fulfill the role of mentor explaining Data Analytics Engineering principles, practices, and their benefits, conduct technical interviews and training sessions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Statistics, or related disciplines
- Minimum 3 years of development experience in creating end-to-end Data Analytics Solutions with classic and modern Cloud data technologies
- Advanced knowledge of SQL, Data Modeling, Data Provisioning and Transformation Pipelines, Data Warehouse and Database design for on-prem and cloud environments
- Understanding of Data Architecture Layers Multisource Management, Enrichment, Data Cleansing, and principles of Advanced Data Security
- Proved experience in data solutions troubleshooting, monitoring, and support as well as practical experience in performance tuning and optimization, bottleneck problem analysis
- Upper Intermediate level (CEFR B2) or higher in spoken and written English
Nice to have
- Practical hands-on experience in developing Data Analytics and Visualization Solutions in Cloud environments across designing, implementing, deploying, and monitoring
- Good understanding of CI/CD principles and best practices, understanding of principles of deployment models, i.e., Canary release, Blue Green, etc
- Data-oriented mindset with an emphasis on compliance awareness i.e., PI, GDPR, HIPAA, etc
